Bang Data and Los Lonely Boys

A week ago I went to the Los Lonely Boys with Bang Data concert at the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma. I already knew about LLB as they’ve been really popular ever since the 2000s (with their breakout single Heaven) and since one of my best friends is their groupie (Ok, fine, super-fan.), but I’d never been to a concert. They’re from Texas, they sing in English and Spanish, and they have a chill vibe but also can rock out hard!!

But it was Bang Data that turned out to be the best surprise. They’re a foursome from the Bay Area, and they sing in English and Spanish in a combination of rap, rock, and melody. They make great music and have amazing energy.

The best part of the whole thing is that LLB and Bang Data have collaborated on a special edition of Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) covers!! (On Spotify here.) Imagine everything you love about CCR’s most classic songs, but with add-ins to modernize them to today’s issues with lyrics in English and Spanish. I recommend these guys for all of my English and Spanish students to enjoy!!

Hace una semana que fui al concierto de @BangData y @LosLonelyBoys al Mystic Theatre en Petaluma. Ya sabía de LLB como han sido muy populares desde los 2000 (con su exitoso single, Heaven) y como una de mis mejores amigos es una súper fanática de ellos, pero nunca había ido a un concierto. Ellos son de Texas, cantan en inglés y español, y tienen una vibra chill pero también saben rock out como loco!!

Pero fue el grupo de #BangData que me dio la mejor sorpresa. Ellos son un grupo de cuatro de la #áreadelabahía y cantan en inglés y español también con una combinación de rap, rock y melodía. Hacen música buenísima y tienen una energía fantástica.

La mejor parte es que @los_lonely_boys y @bangdata han colaborado en una edición especial de covers de @theofficialccr (Creedence Clearwater Revival) (En Spotify aquí). Imagínate todo lo bueno que recuerdas de las canciones clásicas de #CCR pero con adiciones para modernizarlas a los asuntos de hoy con letra en inglés y español. ¡Se los recomiendo a todos mis estudiantes de inglés y español para disfrutar!
