Attract More of What You Love

Attract more of what you love.

Attract more of what you love.

Would you like to have more of what you love in your life?

More people - or one special person - to love, work that you love, playful activities that you love, food that you love, vacations that you love?

I don't think anyone's saying no to that.

Yet there are TWO GIANT MYTHS we embrace with our everyday mentality and actions that keep us from attracting more of what we love into our lives.

Let's dispel with those two myths right now.

MYTH #1:
In order to attract what you want, you need to act like you couldn't care less about getting it. Otherwise, you put off a needy energy that pushes away the object of your desire.

This is that old kindergarten advice disguised in other words: if you like someone, you should act like you don't like them so that they'll like you. In other words, play hard to get.

Duh. I'm not in kindergarten anymore.

Oh really? Then let me ask you this: how are you showing what you want that you want it?

Getting what you want starts with acknowledging that you want it, first to yourself, and then to it.

Say it with me:
I want a partner to do life with.
I want to make more money.
I want to take a three-month vacation.
I want ________.

Claiming what you want is not a magic wand that instantly grants you your wish, but it is the first step to getting it.

The NEEDY energy you want to avoid has everything to do with Myth #2...

MYTH #2:
You can't be content with what you have and want more at the same time.

If you're truly content with what you have, you won't want more. That's GREEDY.

If you want more than what you have, it means you're not content with what you do have. It's especially wrong if you want what someone else has that you don't have. That's JEALOUSY (or for a more Biblical term: COVETOUSNESS.)

FALSE. Lies. Puras mentiras.

You attract what you want by fully owning your desire for it and pursuing it from a place of contentment. The gratitude you feel for everything you have already removes the needy energy, the greedy energy, and the jealous energy.

You can be content AND want more, mi amigo.

You can be content being single and want to be in a relationship.

You can be content with your spouse and want a better marriage.

You can be content with your current language ability and want to be more fluent.
